  • Q1

Why were you interested in working with John?

As the Executive Director of a successful nonprofit organization with 35 employees, I had reached my capacity for the number of responsibilities I felt I could reasonably manage. The situation was causing an unsustainable level of stress for me and a bottleneck in my organization as people waited for my decisions on things but, most importantly, we were not building the capacity of our very talented staff to make key decisions. As the time for our end-of-year planning retreat approached, I decided to reach out to John.

What was your experience of working with John?

In addition to being effective, John is a true pleasure to work with. John truly cares about the client and his integrity and professionalism instills trust. If John says it’s going to get done, it will. He can be counted on for his discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information and he provides feedback in a way that is honest and constructive.

  • Q3

    What were the results?

Working with John helped me drive critical improvements in our organizational processes that have empowered my team and increased the overall sustainability of my organization. After 3 months with John’s coaching and facilitation of our year-end retreat, I was able to significantly increase shared decision making and responsibility amongst our senior leadership team – consequently increasing our organizational capacity and decreasing my workload and stress. I would point to several things John did that I believe makes him effective in helping us achieve this outcome including thorough preparation, productive deployment of his knowledge of process flows and tools, effective coaching and facilitating of new behaviors, and committed follow-through.
